The Inland Water and Category E Training Course

The Inland Waters Skipper Training Course will normally be presented on the second and last Saturday of the month. The theoretical course takes approximately three (3) hours to complete. A theoretical examination will be written directly after completion of the theoretical course. A practical examination, that consist of actual boat maneuvering and handling will also be completed immediately after the theoretical phase, weather permitting. To enroll for the Inland Certificate of Competence course, participants must obtain the course material prior to attending the course on the selected Wednesday or Saturday.


This will entail the following:

PRACTICAL TRAINING

A log of sea going boating experience of 50 hours, certified by a Sea Skipper, will be required in respect of a Category E Certificate.

Practical Training if required to fulfill certification requirements, ie 25 hours, can also be presented by Fincraft 21 Skipper Training Academy.
